An MTV star who was a New Jersey native was found dead in his apartment, according to reports.
An MTV star who was a New Jersey native was found dead in his apartment, according to reports. People magazine has confirmed that Danny Dias, 34, a former MTV "Road Rules" cast member, was found Saturday afternoon in his Brooklyn apartment.
No cause of death has been released. People said that Dias was found with lacerations on his wrists and hallucinogenic drugs around him, according to the report. TMZ is reporting it as a possible suicide.
Dias was a Linden native who was featured on season 13 of the popular MTV series “Road Rules: X-Treme.” Season 13 took place in Argentina and Chile and was aired in 2004, according to his New York Times obituary.

“Road Rules” featured people competing for prizes based on a series of challenges. Dias also starred on “Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Gauntlet 2,” which premiered in 2005, according to the obituary.
After his reality television career, Dias co-founded an AIDS research charity called Generation Cure, according to his obituary.
