Northern Lights May Be Visible In North Jersey Monday Night

The Northern Lights may be visible in North Jersey Monday night due to a solar storm.

According to the Aurora forecast from the Geophysical Institute at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, “highly active auroral displays will be visible overhead” as far south as Pennsylvania and Northern New Jersey, weather permitting.

A rare G3 magnetic storm is anticipated Monday night, according to Fox News. That means Aurora borealis, or Northern Lights, will be visible from an expanded area.

Mostly clear skies throughout the region will increase the chances of catching a glimpse of the phenomenon.
