WESTFIELD, NJ — Getting into college has put so much pressure on high school students these days that one writer for the Washington Post compared it to "The Hunger Games" in 2016. But filling out financial aid forms and paying for it isn't either, especially since tuition, room, board, and student fees at schools like Harvard now tops $68,000, or closer at Rutgers, $28,000 in-state. The College Woman's Club of Westfield scheduled a discussion about financial aid called "Paying for College" on Thursday, Jan. 16 from 7 p.m. in the Community Room, Westfield Municipal Building, located at 425 East Broad, Westfield.

The event is free and will include a panel discussion covering the financial aid process, the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and tools and resources to help prepare for and pay for a college education.
