The East Coast Conditioning 14U team played in the 1st Annual Newark Bears Blast tournament held at Riverfront Stadium in Newark.  Two Westfield boys, Chris Lazzarotti and Daniel Savickas participated.  The East Coast Conditioning team won both of their games.  They defeated the OneSix Sports team 3-2 on Saturday (7/31) and knocked off the Marlboro Mustangs 11-0 on Sunday (8/1.)  On Saturday Lazzarotti contributed the game winning hit in the bottom of the seventh, knocking in Alex Sotillo of Kenilworth who had just tripled in the tying run.  Lazzarotti also pitched six innings allowing 2 runs and just two hits in the 3-2 win.  On Sunday, Savickas went 3-5 with two RBIs in the victory over Marlboro.
