Police Blotter: Criminal Mischief, Drug and Warrant Arrests
Police handle normal crime week in town.

Sept. 29
- A resident of the 300 block of East Dudley Avenue reported criminal mischief to their motor vehicle while it was parked on the 800 block of Rahway Avenue. There were several long scratches on the passenger door, possibly caused by a key. The extent of the damage is unknown.
- James Ball, 37, of Westfield was arrested on a Chatham warrant. He posted bail and was released.
Oct. 1
- The police responded to a garbage can fire at Edison Intermediate School. The fire was extinguished and the matter is under investigation.

- Two male juveniles were arrested for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana at a motor vehicle stop on Summit Avenue and Grove Street. They were released to their parents.
Oct. 4
- Isabel Marques, 42, of Elizabeth was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on South Avenue West and Crossway Place and charged with having a prescription legend drug without a prescription. She was also processed and posted bail on a warrant from Bound Brook.

- Sundre Strowbridge, 42, of Elizabeth reported to police headquarters to be arrested on a $500 Westfield warrant. She was processed and released.
- Mark A. Monroe, 22, of Plainfield was arrested on a $300 Point Pleasent warrant. He was processed and released.
- Christina Kaplan, 22, of Westfield was arrested on a warrant from Middlesex Borough in the amount of $200. She was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on the 300 block of South Avenue East. She was processed and posted bail.
