Police Chase Down Car Burglary Suspect In Union County
Breaking: The suspect arrested was wanted for breaking into several cars in Hillside near the Newark border: Report.
HILLSIDE, NJ — Hillside Police chased down and arrested an alleged car burglar early Friday morning that was wanted for breaking into several cars in Hillside near the Newark border.
Shortly before 1 a.m., the suspect was spotted by police in the 1500 block of Hiawatha Avenue. A foot pursuit ensued and ended in the area of Winans Avenue and Leslie Street in Hillside, according to RLS media.
Items reportedly taken from a vehicle was confiscated by police from the suspect, according to RLS media.
There were no injuries reported.
