Police Chase Ends In Crash, 2 Arrested In Union County
The "felony vehicle" was reportedly wanted for eluding in other towns and for a stolen license plate.
ELIZABETH, NJ — A police chase of a wanted vehicle ended with a crash and two people in handcuffs on Saturday in Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Police got a Flock alert from a license plate reader camera of a "felony vehicle" in the area of Grove Street and S Broad Street, said Elizabeth Public Information Officer Ruby Contreras to Patch.
The vehicle was reportedly wanted for eluding in other towns and for a stolen license plate.

Officers tried to stop the vehicle, but it did not stop, prompting a pursuit to begin, said Contreras.
The chase eventually ended in the area of Bayway Avenue and Clarkson Avenue when the suspects' vehicle crashed.

Two suspects were apprehended. The suspects were not identified, and it is unclear if there were any injuries.
