Police, K9 Search For Man Missing From Whole Foods In Union County

UNION, NJ — A search involving K-9 and police continues in Union County for a man who went missing from Whole Foods in Vauxhall on Sunday night.

Rousier Romain, 60, of Orange, was last seen on April 21 after not returning home from his shift at the Whole Foods Market, at 2245 Springfield Ave, Vauxhall, a concerned family member reported to the Union Police Department.

An investigation found Romain left abruptly from Whole Foods at around 3:40 p.m. and was last seen on foot in the parking lot near the fence along the edge of I-78, which is directly adjacent to the property, said Township of Union NJ Police Department.

Romain’s vehicle was found parked in the lot and his cell phone is currently turned off.

"The family is particularly concerned because Romain suffers from several medical conditions which require medication," said police.

Members of the Union Police Department with help from the K-9 unit from the Union County Sheriff’s Office searched the area with negative results.

Additionally, a drone flyover was conducted and the New Jersey State Police, transit authorities and local hospitals were notified.
