Readers' Choice: Williams Nursery Comes Out on Top

The garden center and gift shop was chosen the winner of this week's poll.

Located on more than six acres, is family-owned and operated. With one of the largest selections of annuals, perennials, and shrubs in the state, the nursery participates in Garden Centers of America, which offers networking opportunities with garden center owners from across the country. The nursery has also won national awards for their fall flower bulb display.

According to the garden center's website, the seeds for Williams Nursery were planted in 1920 by William “Edward” Williams and his son, Roy Williams. The property was originally 13 acres in the late 1920s, roughly half of the which was deeded to the Union County Park System through the newly created Green Acres program.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, the garden center will host a Garden Education Day in partnership with the Garden Club of Westfield.
