Reorganization Meetings Set for Westfield

WESTFIELD, NJ — With the new year here, local towns and school boards will begin swearing in their new members to kick off 2017.

Here are a list of the scheduled reorganization meetings:

The Westfield’s Annual Reorganization Meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at 6 p.m. at the Westfield Municipal Building, 425 East Broad Street, Westfield.

One 2nd Ward Councilman, Kenneth J. Donnelly, will be sworn into an unexpired term. Donnelly ran unopposed in the past election.

The Westfield Board of Education Reorganization Meeting will be held on Thursday, Jan. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Westfield High School Auditorium, 550 Dorian Rd, Westfield.

At 7 p.m. newly elected board members will be sworn into a three-year term including Amy Root, Michael Bielen, Brendan Galligan. All three members won over Ginny Leiz in the past election.

The Westfield High School State Champion Football team will also be honored at 7:30 p.m.
