WESTFIELD, NJ— A Westfield resident lost approximately $16,000 after falling victim to a scam involving multiple mobile banking apps, according to police.
Authorities said the victim sent the money through various payment apps before later realizing the transactions were part of a fraud scheme.
The incident was reported May 15, police said.
