Rocky the Tailor Reopens at New Location
After the fire that gutted the South Avenue West business, Rocky the Tailor has reopened on Cumberland Street.
For Lucy Macalle, who owns with her husband Rocco, getting her business back up and running has stirred a range of emotions.
The Macalles reopened their shop at 397 Cumberland St. on Monday, March 5, after their original South Avenue West location was destroyed by the that began at Clyne & Murphy on Jan. 22 and gutted six storefronts.
In business for 15 years, Lucy Macalle said "it's a little unusual" to start all over again.

"I miss the other shop but what can you do?" she said. "I'm excited, too, and glad that we are able to reopen."
As for the items that were in the shop during the blaze, Macalle said some were destroyed while others were salvagable. But it will be difficult uniting customers with their belongings because nearly all of the tickets used to identify the goods and their owners suffered extensive water damage, she explained.
