Severe Thunderstorms, Damaging Winds Expected In Union County
A possibility of large hail and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out as well, the National Weather Service reported.

UNION COUNTY, NJ — Severe thunderstorms and damaging winds are expected Tuesday night in Union County, according to the National Weather Service.
A possibility of large hail and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out as well, the NWS reported.
Minor flooding is also expected in urban and poor drainage areas due to possible heavy rainfall. There is a small chance for localized flash flooding.

Today: Showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4 p.m. Some of the storms could be severe. High near 87. Southwest wind 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms before 10 p.m., then a chance of showers. Some of the storms could be severe. Low around 63. Northwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Wednesday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a high near 65. Northeast wind 5 to 7 mph.
Wednesday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 57. East wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm after midnight.
Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the afternoon.
Thursday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59.
Friday: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 65. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
