Stolen Car, DWI Arrest, Fraud Reported In Westfield

WESTFIELD, NJ — A stolen car, a driving while intoxicated arrest, and fraud were recently reported in Westfield
Westfield Police Blotter – March 1 to March 7:
On March 2 at 7:01 a.m.: Officers found a stolen motor vehicle, a gray 2021 Dodge Challenger, in the area of the 200 block of East North Avenue. Officers confirmed the vehicle was stolen and placed the driver, Diarah Davis, 27, Middletown, DE, under arrest for receiving stolen property. Davis was taken to Westfield Police headquarters, where she was processed and released on a summons with a mandatory Union County Superior Court date.

On March 4 at 9 a.m.: A resident in the 800 block of Summit Avenue reports a suspicious phone call during which an unknown man identified themselves as an Investigator from the Federal Trade Commission. Suspect tried to gain remote access to the victim's computer and had knowledge of the victim's personal and banking information. The victim did not suffer a monetary loss as a result of this incident.
On March 5 at 12:51 a.m.: Darnell Delgado, 30, East Orange, was arrested for DWI near the intersection of East Broad Street and Mountain Avenue pursuant to a motor vehicle stop investigation. He was taken to Westfield Police headquarters, processed, and released to a sober adult upon the issuance of summonses.
