Stroll and Roll Through Echo Lake Park
Take a stroll at Echo Lake Park as part of the Stroll and Roll walking event on Nov. 6.

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ — Stroll & Roll, a family-friendly walking event organized by the FreeWalkers and Union County Park System, will be held on Sunday, Nov. 6 and will begin between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m.
The walk begins at Echo Lake Park (at the gazebo) and follows the park trail to nearby Lenape Park, eventually connecting to the East Coast Greenway in Kenilworth. The walk is an out an about route so you can walk as much as 4 miles or even 1 mile.
The purpose is to encourage everyone to get outside and walk on the trails at Echo Lake Park. The event is free and all ages are welcome. Use of strollers, carriages, bicycles and wheelchairs is encouraged.

Park staff and naturalists will be on hand to answer questions about the trail and the parks.
At the completion of the walk, kids get a certificate of accomplishment, a medal and gifts. There will also be family activities. The event is expected to end by 1 to 1:30 p.m.
