Tech help with mobile devices available from local teens at library
Teen volunteers will help seniors with all of their technology questions for two sessions at the Westfield Library.
(July 8, 2022) - On Saturday, July 16 or Saturday, July 23 between 10:00-11:30 a.m., anyone can stop by the Westfield Memorial Library to meet with Senior Tech Buddies and get their technology questions answered.
Senior Tech Buddies is a volunteer club from Westfield High School whose mission is to help residents, particularly senior citizens, with problems on all types of technology. They can help answer questions and provide assistance with cell phones, smart watches, tablets, laptops, or other mobile devices.
“While mobile technology is becoming increasingly useful with new assistive features, it is also becoming more and more complicated,” says Allen McGinley, Library Director. “Westfield residents are fortunate to have access to Senior Tech Buddies who provide hands-on assistance with navigating these challenges.”

Drop-in assistance will be provided on a first come, first served basis, in the café at Westfield Memorial Library. No appointment is necessary. The library is located at 550 East Broad Street.
Currently library hours are Monday - Thursday 9:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; and closed on Sunday for the summer.
