Ten Candidates Will Run For Seats On Westfield Board of Education

WESTFIELD, NJ — This is going to be a school year like none other, and each town's board of education will have a lot of big decisions to make when it comes to education and coronavirus precautions.

Monday was the deadline to file to run for seats on elected school boards in New Jersey.

According to the Union County clerk's office, ten people are vying for three three-year seats on the Westfield Board of Education. They are:

• Wendy H. Rogers (Bright Futures)
• Deborah Feldman-Kahn (Bright Futures)
• David Sexton (Bright Futures)
• Leila Morrelli (Preparing Tomorrow's Leaders)
• Paul Monusky (Preparing Tomorrow's Leaders)
• Sahar Aziz (Preparing Tomorrow's Leaders)
• Eldanydia Pavon
• Kent Diamond
• Priti Dave
• Sonal Patel (Teacher + Progress + Compassion)

The election will be held Nov. 3.

School reopening plans
