Man's Torso Found Floating In Union County Water, Prompts Investigation
A reward of up to $10,000 via the Union County Crime Stoppers is being offered for tips that result in an indictment.
ELIZABETH, NJ — A torso of a man was found floating in the water in Union County prompting a homicide investigation, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel, Elizabeth Police Director Earl Graves, and Elizabeth Police Chief Giacomo Sacca jointly announced Thursday.
On Tuesday, May 16 shortly before 5 p.m., Elizabeth Police Officers went to South Front
Street on the waterfront and found a Caucasian male torso floating in the area where the Arthur Kill and Elizabeth River converge, said Daniel.
The body was recovered and taken to the Union County Medical Examiner’s Office, which determined the unidentified man’s manner of death to be a homicide.

The investigation is being jointly led by the Union County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Task Force and the Elizabeth Police Department.
