Two Luring Attempts of Young Girls Reported in Union County

ROSELLE, NJ — Two attempted luring incidents were reported by young girls on their way to school Wednesday morning, Roselle Police reported.

Around 8 a.m. on Sept. 21, in in the 100 block of West 7th Avenue, a 12-year-old female said she was walking to school when she saw a man parked in a silver SUV/crossover.

The man allegedly said he had something for her and held up a jacket.

When the girl approached the vehicle, the man dropped the jacket and grabbed her by the arm. She was able to pull away from the man and run for help, Roselle Police reported.

Police say are looking for a white male in his 30s, with a thin build, round face and a light mustache. The description offered by police also says the man has a "uni-brow and cleft chin" as well as a tattoo on his right tricep that was dark colored/faded and was in a shape of a flower.

The car is described as a silver SUV/crossover with rear tinted windows, gray leather steering wheel, gray seats with white outline, missing hubcaps or black rims. Police say it could possibly be a 2010 Nissan Rogue.

Another luring incident involving a green Acura driven by a male was also reported. The man allegedly attempting to lure a 15 year old female into his vehicle on her way to school.
