Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25, and Sunday, Nov. 1.
Upon arriving at an early voting location, voters will sign in using an electronic poll book, according to the county.
The electronic poll book will print a barcode on the voter’s ballot card, which activates the correct ballot style on the voting machine. The voter then inserts the ballot card into the machine to begin voting.
The Board of Elections said the early voting sites are for in-person machine voting only. Vote-by-mail ballots cannot be submitted at early voting locations.
Voters who received mail-in ballots are encouraged to return them to a secure ballot drop box.
The county said there is at least one drop box in every municipality, and boxes are available 24 hours a day through the close of polls on Election Day at 8 p.m.
Ballot drop boxes are picked up in accordance with state guidelines by a bipartisan team of Election Board employees with a police escort, according to the county.
Voters can also mail their mail-in ballot and should allow at least seven days for it to arrive, according to the Board of Elections.
Mail-in ballots can also be brought in person to the Union County Board of Elections at 271 North Broad Street in Elizabeth, or to either of the Union County Clerk’s offices in Elizabeth or Westfield. Voters depositing a ballot in person must present a valid New Jersey-issued ID or driver’s license.
The county said voters can obtain a mail-in ballot from the Union County Clerk’s Office until 3 p.m. the day before Election Day.
