This Union County Hospital Was Named One of the Great Places to Work in Healthcare

Elizabeth, NJ -- This Union County hospital made the cut for one of the 150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare for 2016 by Becker Healthcare based in Chicago.

The list was released earlier in March in Becker's Healthcare monthly publication, "Becker's Hospital Review" and includes Trinitas Regional Medical Center -- an acute care hospital with 554 beds that serves the City of Elizabeth and its surrounding communities in Central New Jersey.

"With a staff of 2,800 employees, Trinitas delivers 2,400 newborns, serves 17,000 inpatient visits, treats 73,000 emergency visits, and provides care through half a million outpatient visits per year," according to Becker's Hospital Review.

There were a total of eight hospitals from New Jersey included on the list.

Other NJ hospitals that made the cut were:

• Atlantic Health System in Morristown
• Barnabas Health in West Orange
• Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack
• Lourdes Specialty Hospital of Southern New Jersey in Willingboro
• Meridian Health in Neptune
• Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick
• St. Joseph's Healthcare System in Paterson
