Union County Seeks Diapers, Formula, Wipes For September Baby Drive

UNION COUNTY, NJ — Union County residents are being asked to donate diapers, formula and baby wipes during a monthlong collection for vulnerable families across the county.

The Union County Board of County Commissioners is seeking donations through Bellies 2 Bottoms, a baby item collection that will run from Sept. 1 through Sept. 30.

According to the county announcement, the drive will serve vulnerable families throughout Union County communities.

Residents can drop off donations at five county locations during regular business hours. The county also asked donors to check expiration dates before giving formula.

Collection sites include the Engineering Building, 2325 South Ave. in Scotch Plains, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and the Public Safety Building, 400 North Ave. East in Westfield, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Donations will also be accepted at Social Services, 200 West 2nd St., 1st Floor, in Plainfield, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Additional drop-off locations are the Prosecutor’s Office, 32 Rahway Ave. in Elizabeth, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the Administration Building, 10 Elizabethtown Plaza in Elizabeth, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The county announcement states that every donation can help provide essential supplies to babies and families in need across Union County.

The collection is focused on three items: diapers, formula and baby wipes.
