Unprecedented Financing for Westfield BOE Election
Perplexing Contributions to Campaign Fund

My name is Robert Cirasa. I am serving as the treasurer for the campaign of Your Child’s Voice for Westfield BOE, a slate that includes the candidacy of my son. In filing the required reports for the slate’s campaign financing (which derives entirely from the contributions of the candidates themselves and myself), I could not but notice a filing in the last few days for the financing of the candidates opposing our own. (Timely reports are required for all contributions exceeding, in aggregate, $300 from any single source.) I believe that filing… along with the ones of similar magnitude likely to follow that will account for the means underwriting the obviously very large expenditures for their campaign… is worthy of broader attention from the public. A combined contribution of $10,700 from the NJ State Laborers Political Action Committee of Monroe Township and the Laborers Union Local 472 Political Action Committee of Newark must surely be unprecedented financing (and apparently just partial financing) for an election to the Westfield Board of Election. You may obtain a copy of this and all campaign financing reports from the web site of the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission: https://www.elec.nj.gov/ELECReport/searchcandidate.aspx . I am also attaching to this post a JPG copy of the above mentioned report.
