A New Jersey football player was involved in what has been described as “one of the dirtiest football plays you’ll ever see.

During a Friday night game on Sept. 11, a Linden defensive lineman pulled the helmet off of an Immaculata offensive lineman, according to nj.com, while taking him to the ground. The Linden defender then proceeded to swing the helmet, hitting the Immaculata player in the top of the head.

He then released the helmet and tossed it several yards across the field. The Linden player has been suspended 10 school days and at least 2 games in helmet incident, according to nj.com.

Immaculata Athletic Director Tom Gambino said the two schools have continued to work on resolving the matter, and the two even played their scheduled JV football game on Monday, according to the report.
