WESTFIELD, NJ — The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 5. Here is what Westfield voters need to know before they hit the polls.

Who is on the ballot? (* denotes incumbent)

Town Council

There are no local Town races.

Westfield Board of Education

There are no school board races as they occur in the spring.

Union County Board of County Commissioners

There are six candidates running for three full-term seats up for grabs representing Union County:

• James E. Baker Jr - Democrat*
• Mary O’Connor - Republican
• Jeanne Kingsley - Republican
• Michael Petrucci - Republican

New Jersey Legislative District 7 Assembly

• Sue Altman - Democrat
• Andrew Black - Green
• Tom Kean Jr. - Republican*
• Lana Leguia - Libertarian

The secure ballot drop boxes are under 24/7 camera surveillance. Ballots will be picked up on a daily basis by a bipartisan team of Union County Board of Elections Employees.
