Westfield Approves $51.6K Memorial Pool Tile Replacement

WESTFIELD, NJ — Westfield officials are moving to replace existing floor tiles around the main pool at Memorial Pool.

The Town Council approved a resolution authorizing a contract with MRC Recreation of Spring Lake for $51,608.42 at its March 10 meeting.

This includes aquatic equipment, installation, service, and related items through the Educational Services Commission of New Jersey contract.

A start date for the work or a project timeline was not disclosed.

The Westfield Memorial Pool and Aquatic Complex at 713 Cumberland St. is a public swim facility open to both Westfield and non-Westfield residents. The Pool Complex offers:

• 50-meter 165-foot by 75-foot main pool
• 8-lane competitive lap pool
• Diving pool
• Two large water slides
• 2 foot deep children's training pool
• Zero-entry children's pool
• Newly renovated splash pad connected to the zero-entry pool
• Snack bar
• Picnic area
• Playground with private access only to pool patrons
• Large grass areas for private space
