Westfield Blue Devils Baseball Beats Roselle Catholic in First Round of UC Tourney

Westfield won yesterday's game 9-2 against Roselle Catholic

It was the pivotal first inning that helped the Westfield Blue Devils Baseball team win the first round of the Union County Tournament at Bob Brewster Sr. Memorial Field Saturday afternoon, according to a report by NJ.com. 

Six runs scored in the bottom of the first inning, creating some early excitement in what would be a 9-2 win against Roselle Catholic. Quinn Dursee led the team hitting 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI followed by Michael Ionta going 2-for-4 with an RBI, according to the report.

Kevin Galasso, who earned the win for his team, allowed eight hits in six innings.

The quarterfinals take place on May 1.
