Westfield Conservation Center 2016 Schedule Announced

Westfield, NJ -- The Westfield Conservation Center schedule for 2016 has been announced.

Town residents can dispose of organic materials, such as lawn and garden debris at the center for $70.

2016 Conservation Center Schedule:

• Jan. 9,16 and 23 -- Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Feb. 6 and 20 -- Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• March 5 and 19 -- Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• April 7 to Oct. 23 -- Thursday and Friday 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• (Leaf Season) Oct. 24 to Dec. 16 -- Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All dates listed above are weather permitting.

The Center is classified by the State of New Jersey as a transfer facility for organic waste and recyclable materials. The Center is located at 1300 Lamberts Mill Road, South of entrance to Tamaques Park.

Materials Accepted

• Grass clippings
• organic garden debris
• twigs
• brush
• shrubbery
• hedge clippings
• logs (not to exceed 2 feet in length)
• Christmas trees (with lights and decorations removed)
• leaves
