Westfield Cop Bringing Clean Water To El Salvador
Officer Tiffany Kenny is traveling with her church to drill and find clean water.
WESTFIELD, NJ - Officer Tiffany Kenny and fellow Liquid Church Garwood parishioners traveled to El Salvador Saturday to drill and find clean water. The trip was made in partnership with Living Water. According to their website, Living water began in 1990 when a group from Texas traveled to Kenya and saw the desperate need for clean drinking water. They returned to Houston and founded a 501(c)3 non-profit. The fledgling organization equipped and trained a team of Kenyan drillers, and LWI Kenya began operations the next year under the direction of a national board. That pattern continues today as the group trains, consults, and equips local people to implement solutions in their own communities.
In addition to her primary mission, Kenny will also be distributing Westfield PBA t-shirts and Westfield Police Department hats and junior badges to the children of the villages they visit.
