Westfield Couple Merge Night Club Feel With Boxing At New Studio

Rumble Boxing recently opened in downtown Westfield in the 6,000 sq. ft. location that formerly housed Victoria's Secret.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Lou and Francine Magrone of Westfield are taking boxing to a whole new level with the opening of their new franchise location of Rumble Boxing.

Rumble Boxing is the Magrone's first New Jersey location and the largest franchise with 6,000 square feet of space. The location at 231 East Broad Street in Westfield formally housed Victoria's Secret.

"It is made to feel like a nightclub. There is a coach on stage, it is black in there at all times with unique high-end lighting," said Lou Magrone, who moved to Westfield about 6 years ago.

Additionally, Magrone said the music is professionally done by DJs to coincide with each workout.

"The music has a little bit of everything. Everyone musically should feel welcome," said Magrone.

Magrone has a partner in Indianapolis where they opened their first franchise location. He jumped at the opportunity to be a part of Rumble because of the fitness boutique concept.

"The entire feel of it with the music pumping and the lights - as the kids say, 'It has a really cool vibe'," said Magrone.

Rumble Boxing offers its boxing fitness program along with personal training, a retail shop, and more.

Magrone and his wife are "super excited" about their newest venture and have plans to open 5 more in New Jersey.

"We are very happy with the response," said Magrone. "New Jersey is a hub for group fitness."
