Westfield High School Band Collects Hundreds Of Trees In Annual Fundraiser
The trees were picked up curbside from houses throughout the neighborhood.

WESTFIELD, NJ — The students in the Westfield High School band collected nearly 600 trees this year as part of its annual fundraising and environmental conservation effort.
Dozens of musicians, families, and other volunteers joined together on Jan. 11 to recycle the community's Christmas trees while supporting the future of the music program. The trees, for a $22 fee, were picked up curbside from homes and taken to a local conservation center.

Funds from the event will go directly to Band and Westfield High School Choir programs, opportunities, equipment, and other educational services, publicity chair for the Westfield High School Band Parents Association, Katherine De Vito, said.
