WESTFIELD, NJ — Westfield is hiring a Probationary Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician(EMT).
Applications are being accepted for the position with the Westfield Fire Department. Applications can be found online at westfieldnj.gov or in person starting Monday, Jan. 13, from the Westfield Fire Prevention Bureau located at Westfield Firehouse Two, 1029 Central Ave., Westfield; Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Applications will not be mailed and must be picked up in person. All applications must be submitted in person by the applicant on the dates provided.

Applicants must be a United States Citizen, 21 years of age, and must be eligible to be hired on or before their 35th birthday. The Town of Westfield is an equal opportunity employer in all facets of the personnel process.

- High School Diploma
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Be a New Jersey resident
- Current New Jersey Division of Fire Safety Firefighter-1 and Firefighter -2 certification
- A New Jersey EMT Certification is preferred; however, it will be required within one year of the appointed date of hire. (All licenses must be in good standing).
Provide copies of all requirements with a completed application and an updated resume. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Limited up to the first 100 qualified applicants received on or before Friday, Jan. 17, at 2 p.m.
