Preserving Westfield's History: Community Feedback Wanted On Master Plan
Residents interested in protecting the Town's historic resources and districts can make their voices heard at a community workshop Thursday.

WESTFIELD, NJ —Westfield residents interested in protecting the Town's historic resources and districts can make their voices heard at a community workshop Thursday.
The township is looking for community members to share their ideas on the Master Plan and how to "preserve the history of Westfield in a way that residents see fit." This includes recommendations for how to improve existing historic preservation initiatives and policies that protect the history, community, culture, and character of Westfield; information on local, regional, and state planning trends in historic preservation efforts; and an inventory of all the historic landmarks, districts, and resources in the town.
A community workshop is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 19 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Town Hall Community Room, led by consulting and design firm H2M Associates (who were awarded a contract for historic preservation services).
