Westfield Memorial Library introduces Kanopy, video streaming service
Full-service Westfield Memorial Library cardholders can now access Kanopy, a new video streaming service with hundreds of movies and courses

(April 4, 2022) The Westfield Memorial Library is excited to announce anyone with a Westfield Memorial Library card now has instant access to 30,000+ movies and other video content from Kanopy. Brimming with high-quality films that inspire, educate and entertain, Kanopy is offered by libraries around the globe.
Some of the popular content on this platform includes classic, indie, and award-winning films; documentaries; educational content for kids including Sesame Street, PBS, and story times; The Great Courses and TV series (including History Channel and PBS programming).
“We’re thrilled to now be able to offer digital access to a curated film collection,” said Library Director Allen McGinley. “eBooks and audiobooks are already very popular among Westfield residents and being able to offer 24/7 access to films is another step forward.”

Many of Kanopy’s videos are not available on any other streaming video platform, and the experience is easy-to-use and completely advertisement free. Users can access Kanopy on their desktop or laptop computer, mobile device, TV streaming devices (like Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku), and more.
If you are a full-service Westfield Memorial Library cardholder, you can view up to (10) movies per month, and (2) of The Great Courses Series per month. Great Courses is a collection of lectures on a variety of topics such as literature, finance and religion.

There are no limits on Kanopy Kids, the source for children's content. Kanopy Kids offer a carefully curated collection of children’s programming that supports early literacy, STEM education and even foreign language learning.
To get started, just download the Kanopy app or visit wmlnj.kanopy.com. For step-by-step instructions, have your library card number handy, and visit the library’s website and click on the tutorial tab.
