Westfield Plans Tree Lighting, Shopping Event Downtown

WESTFIELD, NJ — Downtown Westfield is planning a full day of holiday shopping and community events on Saturday, Nov. 28, capped by its annual Christmas tree lighting celebration at the North Side Train Station.

The day begins with Small Business Saturday promotions at participating downtown businesses.

Shoppers are invited to look for unique gifts, special promotions and a Scratch & Save promotion available while supplies last.

The Downtown Westfield Corporation says a full list of Small Business Saturday promotions is coming soon.

The evening portion of the event is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. at the North Side Train Station.

The annual Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration will include a visit from Santa, a holiday DJ, ice sculpting, festive carolers and complimentary treats from local businesses.

This year's event will also include the Jingle & Mingle Holiday Market. The market will showcase young entrepreneurs and their businesses, with handmade goods available for shoppers looking for holiday gifts.

The Corporation also thanks local sponsors supporting the event. Those sponsors are Bovella's, Kirshenbaum Baking Co., Maize Cocina & Cocktails and Glowbar.
