The week-long program will run Aug. 5-9 for high school students and is being offered at no cost.

WESTFIELD, NJ – The Westfield Police Department is looking to partner with high school students as part of a Youth Police Academy from Monday, Aug. 5 through Friday, Aug. 9.
“We are very excited to bring back the Youth Police Academy, which provides us with yet another
opportunity to engage with the community,” said Westfield Police Chief Christopher Battiloro.
“This program will give our young residents an opportunity to see the inner workings of our police department and provide them with some insight into a potential future career in law enforcement.”
The program is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily at the Municipal Complex at 425 E. Broad Street. The Youth Police Academy will be open to Westfield residents who are entering grades 9-12 for the 2019 – 2020 school year, and is offered at no cost.
