Westfield Police Rescue Baby Raccoon Reported Injured
Westfield police responded to Windsor Avenue for an injured raccoon on Thursday.

WESTFIELD, NJ — A report of an injured raccoon in Westfield on Thursday evening ended with police finding a healthy baby animal and returning it to the wild.

Officer Scanlon and Sergeant Forcenito found that the raccoon was not hurt. Instead, police found an uninjured baby raccoon in good health, said police.
Forcenito then took the baby raccoon to a wooded area of Tamaques Park. The raccoon was safely released back into the wild.
