Possible UFO Spotted in Westfield Sky

Annette Baez was walking her dog around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday near the park behind Kehler Stadium when she saw what she describes as "big, flying yellow ship."

According to Baez, the ship "came out gliding from behind the houses looking east. It was moving from east to west. It was big enough that I could see details in it."

Baez said the ship appeared to be flying sideways and was "caterpillar-shaped." While she could see planes in the background, by comparison, they looked like stars, she said, adding that the ship did not sound like a airplane.

The Doris Parkway resident said she froze when she saw it but was able to take the two attached photos (see right).

During a visit to the Westfield Police Department Tuesday, police told Patch that they were not aware of any residents reporting any unusual sightings in the middle of the night.
