Westfield Residents Seek Help For Homeless Students
A local group is seeking supplies for homeless Union County students at two locations in Westfield next week.
WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield Green Team is collecting used bookbags, reusable lunch bags, and new or gently used school supplies to donate to the Elizabeth Coalition for the Homeless on Sept. 6 (Labor Day) and 7, in order to help homeless students.
Green Team member Jessica Weitzman said items can be dropped off any time during those days, but only on those two days. They can be dropped off in the bins by the front entrances of Westfield High School and Roosevelt Middle School.
The group requested that the bags are clean and in good condition.
