Police Situation Resolved In Westfield After Residents Asked To Remain Indoors
Police sent an updated alert to residents on Tuesday around 7:30 p.m.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Police activity in Westfield has been resolved at Sandra Court and West Court as of 7:27 p.m.
"Please resume normal activity within this area. Thank you for your cooperation," said Westfield Police.

Police activity was initially reported just after 6 p.m.
Another alert followed at 6:30 p.m. asking residents to remain inside and avoid the area.
