Westfield School Board To Vote On Superintendent Search Thursday

The board will meet remotely Thursday to take a step, after Superintendent Margaret Dolan announced her retirement at the last meeting.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Now that Westfield Superintendent of Schools Margaret Dolan is preparing to retire in July, after 14 years at the helm of the schools, the Board of Education will kick off the process of finding a replacement.

On Thursday night, they'll hold a special meeting specifically to appoint a consulting firm to conduct the search for a new superintendent.

"The board will immediately go into executive session," according to a notification sent out by the board on Monday. "At the conclusion of the executive session, the board expects to go back into
public session and approve a consulting firm."
