Westfield Seeks $100K Grant To Resurface Memorial Park Tennis Courts
The Town Council also authorized a contract for the replacement design of the restroom facilities at the Memorial Pool Complex.
WESTFIELD, NJ — Improvements to Memorial Park tennis courts and the pool complex restrooms will soon be coming.
At the Dec. 17 Town Council meeting, the Council approved a resolution to apply for a $100,000 grant from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs to carry out a project to resurface the Memorial Park Tennis Courts.
Additionally, the Council also approved a resolution to authorize a contract awarded for professional Architecture services to Thomas DiGiorgio Architecture, 414 Central Ave Suite B, Westfield, for the design and preparation of bid specifications for the replacement and improvements of the Restroom Facilities at the Memorial Pool Complex.

The contract fee was awarded for an amount not expected to exceed $25,850.
Memorial Park is a 19.1 acre park and pool complex on Scotch Plains Avenue featuring four softball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, pickleball courts, a playground and the Westfield Memorial Pool and Aquatic Complex.
