Westfield Senior Hit By Car, Hospitalized On New Year's: Report

WESTFIELD, NJ —A Westfield man, 76, was struck by a car on New Year's Day while trying to cross South Avenue West at the corner of Boulevard, police told TAPinto Westfield. The man was knocked unconscious and taken to University Hospital of Newark after he was struck around 10:05 p.m. on Jan. 1, according to the story. The Westfield Police Department issued a summons to the driver of the car, but would not release his name as of Thursday morning.
