WESTFIELD, NJ —Prizes await the first baby born in 2020 who lives in Westfield, but so far, the Westfield 300 Steering Committee hasn't gotten word of the town's newest addition, said town Public Information Officer Kim Forde.

The town is planning activities this year to celebrate it's 300th anniversary. As part of that initiative, they're giving away prizes worth $300 to the family of the first new resident born.

The committee is also planning historical lectures, music festivals, architectural tours, an outdoor celebration in June and a year-end even in December.
