Culjak is a math teacher at Westfield Senior High School. According to their website, the University of Chicago's Outstanding Educators think carefully about their instruction, share an infectious love for learning, and care about their students both inside and outside the classroom.

For more than 30 years, the university has invited incoming students to nominate an educator who has inspired, challenged and made a difference in their lives. And every year, over a third of the students take the opportunity to nominate an educator. The University of Chicago Outstanding Educator Award recognizes all teachers who are nominated, highlighting the stories that show education’s power to transform.

Also on the agenda is Superintendent Margaret Dolan's graduation report on the Class of 2018 and a special services report.
