Westfield Town Council Election Results Certified: See Final Tallies
Along with the town council race in all four wards, voters were asked to weigh in on the Edison Fields Bond.

WESTFIELD, NJ — It's a wrap: The Edison Fields Bond was shot down and Republicans emerged victorious in all four wards in the 2023 race for Town Council.
The Union County Clerk's Office confirmed Wednesday that the election results from Nov. 7 have been certified.
In Westfield, there were two candidates running for one open seat in each ward for Town Council. Republicans ultimately swept the election in all four wards.

Here are the final, certified results as per the Union County Clerk's Office:
Ward 1

- Todd Saunders - Republican - 1,583 votes (51.33%)
- Emily Root - Democrat - 1,497 votes (48.54%)
Ward 2
- Michael Armento - Republican - 1,420 votes (53.79%)
- Erika Vargas-Garrison - Democrat - 1,217 votes (46.10%)
Ward 3
- Michal Domogala - Republican - 1,368 votes (51.39%)
- Dawn Nichol-Manning - Democrat - 1,288 votes (48.38%)
Ward 4
- David Kiefer - Republican - 1,488 votes (51.42%)
- Scott Katz - Democrat - 1,400 votes (48.38%)
The referendum question for the Edison Fields Bond also was voted down:
- No - 6,058 votes (56.10%)
- Yes - 4,740 votes (43.90%)
