Westfield Ultimate Frisbee Team to Compete in State Championship

The game, is at 7 p.m. tonight, and is free for fans and spectators to cheer on the Westfield team.

Westfield, NJ -- The Westfield Ultimate team will take on Maplewood for the NJ State Championship at Ranger Stadium on the campus of Drew University at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 2.

The Westfield team won their semi-final game against Watchung Hills this past weekend allowing to move onto the championship game.

The event is free for any spectators or fans to come out and cheer on the Westfield team.

The game represents the continuation of one of the best rivalries in high school ultimate anywhere in the country.

Columbia is the defending champion and Westfield won the title for the first time two years ago. Both schools have sent players on to major college, club and professional levels of the sport. This is the first time the State finals have been played at night.
