Westfield's First Electric Police Vehicle Is Coming To Town
Westfield was awarded a $160,000 grant by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities for the purchase.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Westfield's Police Department is going green.
The Town was recently awarded a $160,000 grant by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities for the purchase of the Town’s first electric police vehicle and to install EV infrastructure to support it, said Mayor Shelley Brindle.
"One big step towards our goal of reducing carbon emissions and mitigating the environmental impact of our police operations," said Brindle.

The grant was achieved through a joint effort by the Town, police department, public works, and the Green Team.
"The Westfield Police Department is excited to receive its first electric police car in the near future!" said the Town of Westfield, NJ Police Department.
