
Westfield, NJ -- Westfield’s first indoor rowing race, the Resolution Row, will be held this Sunday, Jan. 10.
Resolution Row will take place starting at 9 a.m. at Washington Elementary School, 900 St. Marks Ave, Westfield. Registration is open to novice through master rowers with a youth category beginning at 12 years of age. Beginners are encouraged and will be taught basic rowing technique.

The race is a first for non-profit Westfield Indoor Rowing LLC. Organized by Tim McAuliffe, a lifelong rower, assistant coach of the Westfield Crew Team and founder of the 501(c)(3) Westfield Indoor Rowing LLC.
“Our mission is to introduce rowing to a wider group of people and generate funds to purchase equipment and additional training for the Westfield Crew Team,” states McAuliffe.

Rowers compete according to skill level and will see their avatars race across a big screen in real-time races ranging from 1000 to 2000 meters. Prizes will be awarded to first place finishers.
