WESTFIELD, NJ — Want to cheer on Westfield native Nicholas Delpopolo as he competes for redemption in the Olympics in Rio?

Delpopolo will be competing in Judo, Men's 73 kg, on Monday, Aug. 8 which begins at 9 a.m. The exact time on when he will compete will be determined as it gets closer.

He is returning after being expelled from the 2012 Olympics for testing positive cannabis after eating a pot brownie.

Sydney McLaughlin, Union Catholic Class of 2017, will also be competing in Track & field for the Women's 400m hurdles on Monday, Aug. 15. The exact time on when she will compete will be determined as it gets closer.
